About Us
The Wintershall Estate, in the heart of stunning Surrey countryside, is privately owned and comprises park land and a farm. Peter and Ann Hutley have lived at Wintershall for nearly 50 years and under their stewardship, the estate has expanded into a haven for wildlife, mature woodland and farmland. It is also the home of the theatrical productions of The Life of Christ, The Acts of the Apostles and The Wintershall Nativity play which Peter Hutley writes.
In recent years the plays have been performed outside of Wintershall, and include the Guildford Passion that takes place on Guildford High Street on Easter Saturday each year and in past years Lewes Prison. For the first time in 2010 the Wintershall Players performed an adapted version of the Passion to thousands on Good Friday at Trafalgar Square, London. The performance attracted increased crowds in 2011 & 2012 and The Wintershall Charitable Trust are pleased to be able to perform the Passion of Jesus in Trafalgar Square for you on Good Friday again in 2013.
